Our Fearless Leader
Katie Chiang joined North Florida Swimming in 2011, first as a swimmer then an assistant age group coach. She single-handedly started NFS's Masters program in 2024, and is super excited to now be a part of Grown Up Swimming!
While not on the pool deck, Katie moonlights (literally, works night shift) as an emergency nurse. She and her boyfriend have one child: an English Bulldog named Meatball.

It sucks, but Katie sometimes can't be here (she has a "real" job, BOO!). Not to worry! She has a trusted cast of characters ready to fill in. Here are the people you might see on deck:
Coach Dennis Kauffman has been swimming his entire life, growing up in Jax Beach, and has been a coach with NFS since 2011. In his own words, he's "handsome, funny, good-looking, and smells wonderful" *in Will Ferrell voice*. He and his wife, Coach Brit, have two fluffy Siberian Huskies: Loki & Milla. A self-proclaimed forever 8-year-old trapped in a grown-up's body, Dennis is super excited to be back in summer league!
Coach Official Billy Brewster is literally everything to the sport of swimming: swimmer, coach, official, and parent. He, his wife Becky, and their two human children, Aedan & Kieran, have been with NFS since 2016 and are the actual dream team. Originally from Ft. Walton Beach, Billy somehow never swam growing up, but is still one of THE BEST starters we've ever had! Special talents include keeping swim meets running on time and getting things off high shelves for Coach Katie.
Coach Official Becky Brewster is the true jack-of-all-trades! Starting as the team mom, she has quietly taken over and is now also a swimmer, lesson instructor, official, and team administrator. At home, she and her husband Billy have two very tall kids, Aedan & Kieran, and 5 cats (4 hurricane rescue kitties). Originally from Upstate New York, Becky didn't have the chance to swim growing up, so she is super, extra excited to finally experience summer league!
